PT series wellpoint dewatering pumps are used for lowering the groundwater level during construction work. The PT is a positive displacement pump and by far the best choice to guarantee a dry pit during site dewatering. These pumps are usually diesel driven and feature a sound attenuated canopy. The pump can also be supplied with an electric drive or in open frame.
The PT150 is the most popular wellpoint pump due to:
- Lowest fuel costs with a maximum of 1,4 l/h
- Minimal maintenance thanks to service intervals of 1500 hours
- Best suction lift with vacuum up to 9,6 mwc
- Longest life span the PT pump will still be in service after decades of use
How does a well point dewatering pump work?
The PT wellpoint pumps are positive displacement pumps and fully self-priming. They can handle any mix of water and air without requiring a separate priming system. Once the pump is connected to a well point dewatering system, just start the engine and that’s it. The wellpoint pump creates a vacuum via the header pipe and starts lowering the groundwater level.
